Licensed Acupuncturist Bob Wong shares the acupressure points for allergy relief.

An allergy is your immune system’s response to allergens. These are the foreign
substances that are typically harmless. Some of the most common allergens
include pet dander, dust, certain foods, and pollen.

Normally, when you are exposed to these substances, your body adjusts and
realizes that they are harmless. However, if you have an allergy, your immune
system sees the allergens as a threat and attacks them. Depending on the
allergen, this response may involve inflammation, sneezing, and a variety of
        other symptoms.

Thus, if you have allergies, this is the perfect video for you. You can try these
acupressure points for allergy relief at any time. To know more about how

I received another question about cupping therapy not part of biomedicine.

That is actually true. Cupping therapy is indeed not a part of biomedicine. However,
cupping therapy is effective in treating or at the very least alleviating symptoms of
            many illnesses and diseases.

This form of alternative medicine helps people manage pain and reduce inflammation.
Cupping therapy also promotes blood flow, relaxation, and total wellbeing. In conclusion,
although cupping therapy is not part of biomedicine, it provides many health benefits.
And it should be appreciated and recognized as an effective holistic treatment option.

In this video, we are going to answer the question “is cupping therapy dangerous?”.

Please know that in any treatment, there is always a certain risk associated with it.
However, in my experience as an acupuncturist, I have not known any adverse and
life-threatening side effects of cupping therapy.

In fact, the best thing about alternative medicine such as cupping or acupressure, and
acupuncture is that if it does not work, it will not work. They do not worsen the illness
or further compromise the health of a patient.

The video talks about how posture and neck pain are associated. So how does posture
                    relates to neck pain?

Poor posture is one of the most common causes of neck pain. This stresses the cervical
spine and overloads the neck and back muscles. Over time, the accumulated stress
strains the muscles and ligaments that support the neck, resulting in neck pain or injury.

Meanwhile, the head-and-shoulders-forward posture is a great example of poor posture
that contributes to neck pain. This occurs when the neck slants forward, placing the
vhead in front of the shoulders. When this happens, extra weight is added to your spine.

In fact, for every inch your head shifts forwards, an extra 10 pounds is added to the
muscles in the upper back and neck. Similarly, a 5-inch forward shift results in 50
extra pounds of force! That is a lot of extra weight your neck and spine have to
carry! So remember to keep your chin tucked inward to avoid this.

The video provides tips on how to do acupressure and which tools to use. So what is the
                        right way to do acupressure?

I have been getting a lot of comments and questions about the pokey stick I have been
using on my videos. And, I actually bought this in Thailand with my wife. However, in
acupressure, it does not really matter what tools you use. You can use a pen, a pencil or your
fingers. In fact, the best tool you can use is the one you are born with, your fingers. That is
because when you use your fingers, you can easily distinguish the right spot. Also, you have
direct control over how much pressure you apply. My best advice is to not focus on the tools to
use. Rather, focus on the sensations when doing acupressure. look for a dull, achy sore spot.
That is the indication that you are pressing the right spot. Then hold the pressure for 15 to
30 seconds. If you have more questions, let me know.

Watch the video to know the acupressure points to relieve cramps at the bottom of the
feet. But why do we get it in the first place?

Foot cramps are described as an uncomfortable and painful spasm of the muscles of
your feet. They occur when a muscle squeezes and cannot relax. As a result, cramps can
stop you on your tracks and limit your mobility until the cramp passes.

A massage and light stretching can help with the cramp. Additionally, you can refer to
the video and apply the acupressure points for relief. In Chinese Medicine, the hands
are used to treat the feet and vice versa.

Plantar fasciitis (PLAN-tur fas-e-I-tis) is one of the most common causes of heel pain.
It is the inflammation of a thick band of tissue that runs across the bottom of your foot.
It is what connects your heel bone to your toes (plantar fascia).

Additionally, if you have this condition, you will experience a stabbing pain that usually
occurs with your first steps in the morning. It is common on runners or people who are
overweight. People who wear shoes with inadequate heel support might also develop
                                    this condition.

Yes, trigeminal neuralgia can definitely be associated with neck pain. So what is
                                            trigeminal neuralgia?

Trigeminal neuralgia is a chronic pain condition. It affects the trigeminal nerve which is
responsible for transmitting sensation from your face to the brain. If you have trigeminal
neuralgia, even the mildest stimulation to your face may trigger a jolt of excruciating pain.
For instance, simple activities like putting on makeup or brushing the teeth can be a
                                            painful experience.

Initially, during the early phase of this health condition, patients may experience short,
mild attacks. However, as trigeminal neuralgia progresses, it causes longer, more frequent
                                            attacks of searing pain.

Nevertheless, this does not mean you are doomed to a life of pain. There is a variety of
treatments you can choose. The usual treatment involves medication.

However, if you are looking for a more holistic approach in treating excruciating pain.
You may want to consider acupuncture. It is a Chinese medicine practice that has helped
patients recover from trigeminal neuralgia and neck pain. With continued treatment,
patients experience fewer and fewer attacks.
