Do you have Trigeminal neuralgia?
Trigeminal neuralgia is a chronic pain condition that affects the trigeminal nerve, which carries sensation from your face to your brain. If you have trigeminal neuralgia, even mild stimulation of your face — such as from brushing your teeth or putting on makeup — may trigger a jolt of excruciating pain. You may initially experience short, mild attacks. But trigeminal neuralgia can progress and cause longer, more-frequent bouts of searing pain. Trigeminal neuralgia affects women more often than men, and it’s more likely to occur in people who are older than 50. Because of the variety of treatment options available, having trigeminal neuralgia doesn’t necessarily mean you’re doomed to a life of pain. (mayo clinic) We actually have been seeing quite a few facial neuralgia patients in the last few months with the same problem. Most of the time they have already tried painkillers, and nothing else has helped and have decided to try acupuncture as a last-ditch effort. To their surprise (and sometimes mine) It’s been working. Some patients originally came in with 10/10 pain. every time the wind would blow or any slight stimulation to the face would send extremely painful electric shocks through the patient’s face. A couple of treatments a two weeks later the pain has calmed down and he was even to the point where he was started applying for jobs again because he wasn’t able to work with the pain previously. It’s always exciting when patients get better! Does everyone get the same result? No. but most people do get some benefit and if we can’t get the pain to go away we can at least manage it and provide a better quality of life for those patients.

We Are Still Open But….
Clinic updates: 26 March 2020
According to the government updates on covid-19 situation: we are a health-related service and can remain open.
Of course safety and hygiene are number one. There’s a few things being implemented to insure the safety of everyone around us:
1)Social distancing. Patient appointments will be spread out to allow for disinfecting between visits and sanitizing.
2)Patients must be screened before entering the clinic. If a practitioner or patient fails screening neither should attend the clinic.
3)If patient and practitioner pass screening, then treatment can proceed with full infection control which now extends to masks 
gloves 
and other protective equipment for at least the practitioner.
